Latest

Sign in for Tora Cloud, connect Tora to your other apps, and a new look for the agents and the Live card.

New

  • Sign in for Tora Cloud with Apple, Google, Microsoft, or email. Email sign-in also works with one click on the link.
  • A Tora Cloud plan with launch pricing. One plan works on up to 3 Macs.
  • Send your notes to Notion, Slack, Linear, or Gmail (Tora Cloud). Gmail gets a draft.
  • Search all your meetings on your Mac for free. A result opens the meeting at that moment. Tora Cloud adds AI answers.
  • Connect AI apps: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Cursor can read your meetings through a local, read-only MCP server.
  • Calendars: Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook. Meeting titles and people name your notes.
  • New icons for the four agents.
  • A new Live card shows an angel and a devil side by side, with a row of smart words.
  • Onboarding now offers the better models for each job, with a Light and a Quality choice.
  • Usage counts help us see what works. Turn them off in Settings › General › Share anonymous usage.

Better

  • Speaker names stay right after Tora improves the transcript.
  • Notes for a long call finish on a model that fits your Mac.
  • Models download faster. Tora fetches files and the parts of big files at the same time.
  • The model list shows checking, getting ready, speed, and time left.
  • A failed download keeps its state, and Tora retries the parts that failed.
  • Tora shares free disk space between installs, so two downloads do not fill your Mac.
  • "Get the better models" stays on the Today page after you choose Not now.

Fixed

  • Your own voice is no longer cut as echo when you use speakers.
  • Long meetings get full notes.
  • When meeting notes fail, Tora says why and points you to Quality.

0.3.0

  • A new welcome guide with the words on the left and a live Mac on the right.
  • A new install window with an aurora glass look.
  • A glass outline icon in the menu bar.
  • Tora Cloud is part of the public app.
  • One Live suggestions switch in the menu, the notch, and Settings.
  • Meeting notes finish in the background, so the notch is free as soon as the call ends.
  • The Writer pill is made of glass.
  • Model info cards show pros, cons, and languages, with clearer names and a language filter.

0.2.0

  • The first public build.
  • The Tora orb is the new app icon and logo. It replaces the bot faces.
  • A calm five-step welcome guide, built around your first dictation.
  • More languages: Nemotron 3.5 and Whisper large-v3 join the voice models.
  • Every model download is checked by SHA-256 against a signed catalog.
  • Tora checks for signed updates and installs them when you agree.
  • Shortcuts actions for Dictation and Meetings.
  • A large model download waits until your Mac is on power.

0.1.0

  • The first beta, for testers.
  • One Tora window with a Today page, a page for each agent, and a Models page.
  • Dictation: hold fn, talk, and Tora types clean text where you are.
  • Writer: select text and press ⌃⌥W to fix it in place.
  • Meetings: Tora records your Mac's audio and your mic, then writes the notes.
  • Live suggestions: replies you could say, in the middle of a call.
  • Tora Cloud for testers.
