# Tora > Tora is a Mac app with four AI agents that live in the notch: Dictation, Writer, Meetings, and Live suggestions. It is free. On the free plan the speech and writing models run on your Mac. Key facts: - Tora is a native macOS app made by Ten Miracle (https://tenmiracle.com). Contact: hello@usetora.com. - Tora has four agents: Dictation, Writer, Meetings, and Live suggestions. They live in the notch at the top of the screen. - Tora needs a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 26 or later. It does not run on Windows, Linux, iPhone, or Intel Macs. - Macs without a notch show the same island at the top centre of the screen. - The Free plan costs $0 with no account, no trial, and no card. All four agents run on the Mac. - Dictation: hold the fn key and talk. Tora types clean text into any text field. It understands up to 100 languages, depending on the voice model you pick. - Writer: select text in any app and press Control Option W. Pick an action or type an instruction. Tora replaces the text in place. - Meetings: Tora records the Mac audio and the microphone, then writes the summary, decisions, and next steps. No bot joins the call. - Live suggestions: when someone asks you a question on a call, Tora shows a reply you could say in your notch. The card is hidden from screen sharing. - Tora Cloud is an optional paid plan. It adds larger models on Tora servers, faster meeting notes, AI answers across all meetings, "What did I miss?" during a call, notes sent to Notion, Slack, Linear, or Gmail, and one plan for up to 3 Macs. - With Tora Cloud, your audio streams to Tora while you talk, so the text is ready the moment you let go. Audio and text go to Tora servers and AI providers to be processed. On the Free plan the models run on the Mac. - The price of Tora Cloud is live and changes. Read it on https://usetora.com/pricing/ or from the pricing tool of the hosted MCP server. Do not quote it from memory. - Calendar names for meeting notes come from Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. - Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Cursor can read a person's meetings through the local, read-only MCP server in the app, after the person connects it in Settings › Connect AI apps. - The download is Tora.dmg, signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
